Time to unveil which SUV I purchased. Drum roll please.

That’s right. I picked the Jeep Grand Cherokee. A 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The 80th edition in Granite Crystal Metallic. There was absolutely no chrome whatsoever on the vehicle. Thank you Steven for listening. Although i wouldn’t have minded chrome on the grill.

There were a few things that swayed me toward the Jeep. The main thing being the availability of each vehicle. The Hybrid Hyundai Tucson wasn’t in stock and if I wanted it, I would have had to drive over 200 miles to pick it up since there was no local dealership the out of state one worked with. To get it delivered was over $500 and I would have had to buy it before it was shipped. That was a hard no for me. As for the Volvo, no dealership had what i wanted. I mean they all had XC60s, but they didn’t have the one I wanted. If you read my review on the XC60 drive, you’d see that they didn’t have the vehicle I wanted and there was no guarantee one would arrive. The only one they had on the lot didn’t include the climate package or adaptive cruise control. The Grand Cherokee I wanted wasn’t on the lot but it was in the state at least, it was just waiting to be delivered to the dealership.

The second thing that swayed me was my love for the vehicle. I’ve always wanted a Volvo XC60/XC90 and I always wanted a Jeep Grand Cherokee, so they were at the top of the list. My godfather told me “Get the car you want because there is nothing worse than looking out the window or leaving the house and getting into something you don’t want.” That sold me.

I walked into the Jeep dealership and said I want the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Steven was happy. I mean of course he was, he was making a sale. There was only one issue, the SUV wasn’t available yet. It was in NC but at the port waiting to be transported. If I wanted it, I had to put down a down payment to reserve the vehicle. A $1000 down payment. I was cool with that. Once the SUV arrives, the down payment will go towards the car. They said it could take a week or two. Thankfully it arrived 3-4 days later. And I love it.

The car comes with black leather seats equipped with heated and ventilated seats, a gorgeous panoramic sunroof, heated steering wheel, and an 8″ touchscreen. I love it. and I have used the automatic start on the key a couple of times. I’m in car lover’s heaven.
