Let me ask you a question, I know the job market is awful, but is the men market as well? I mean it didn’t take me long to find a job, just 9 months. However, i have been through more losers than I wanted to go through. I’ve tried the library, match.com, chemistry.com, and zoosk but nothing. It took me 9 months in a dead and lousy job market to find a job but to find a decent guy is taking longer. I don’t think my standards are too high. I mean seriously there are only a few requirements that I want. And we all see how those reuqirements have worked out. Is it so bad that all i want is a guy with a job, a car, and his own place and maybe not so crazy or with a record. Is that so wrong?! Apparently it is because I haven’t found a decent date worthy guy yet. I think I need more requirements because the ones who meet those expectations are either missing a few screws or are only interested in sex. I guess I’m going to have to step my game up and add more requirements. I mean it may be brutal to future men, but i got to weed out the losers now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So here’s what I’ve done. I’ve added more to what I have termed the “The Checklist”. Men who come into my life have to have at least half of the demands checked off before we start seriously dating. Some of the new requirements I demand are<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1) Have his own place<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2) Have a good job (I’m not paying for everything), but doesn’t make it his life<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3) Have a car (I’m not driving us everywhere)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
4) Has to wear a watch (can’t stand a man who checks his phone for the time. SERIOUSLY!!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
5) No kids<\/p>\n\n\n\n
6) Not a slouch<\/p>\n\n\n\n
7) Lives cleanly<\/p>\n\n\n\n
8) Knows there are other things on tv, besides sports and reality shows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
9) Can’t be more than 7 years older than me. (NOT willing to compromise on this)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
10) Not married <\/p>\n\n\n\n
